In edition 92 issue 1 for 2021 we featured an article written by Nadeen Davis to help explain the KFPS annual 'Best  Mare List'   The most common question asked is why some elite Crown and Model mares are not included whilst some many star mares are? How can this be the best mares then?  In short this list is all about breeding values not judging or simple quality.  It is complicated indeed but we hope Nadeen's explanation helps the understanding of it.
